Hey Ya’ll Summer is in full swing! Yet the heat and humidity has been taking its toll on my brain, and body.
Let’s just say it isn’t my favorite season since the chronic illnesses of Chiari and Ehlers Danlos, have decided to take over my health twenty years ago. These incurable conditions have taught me that I cannot do anything alone. Through those years I’ve had three brain surgeries, and many visits to other heart and vascular specialists. All whom refuse to try and repair anything that is failing. I refuse to give up. My faith in God is what has gives me strength to get up every day. It is God who has given me this gift of creativity, to share hope to those who need to feel loved, cared for, included and seen. The sicker that I got, the closer my relationship with Jesus grew. I would pray and ask for how he could use this broken body of mine, and he would direct me. Whether with scripture or showing me things in the shells and driftwood, that I picked up along the beach. As I started to display my art, customers would call me and explain the connection that they felt with a piece. Or how they sent a gift to to a family member and the message alone was exactly what they were praying about.
This art of mine is more than some shells on canvas, it’s a God thing. It’s like he’s right beside me as I put my heart and soul into each and every one. I try and envision the what the recipient may be longing to hear. There are a lot of people who have never heard a single word of love, or felt compassion. Kind words soothe our souls.
So those words, paired with a one of a kind piece of art, is a special gift indeed.

So I explain this all to say, Summer for me is mostly inside. I know that I am not the only one who cannot tolerate the heat, due to health issues.
I feel for all of you and am going to have a POP UP SALE! You get to come inside where it is nice and cool, and you will always feel Welcomed with a smile.
