Readings Advanced Rifle Team
Yes we are at it again:
M1 GARAND RAFFLE - The advanced junior rifle team is raffling off another M1 Garand. The M1 comes directly from the CMP. Tickets will Cost $20.00 each 400 tickets to be sold
**BUT if 300 + are SOLD by December 21st we will end the raffle and pull the winning ticket after practice that day. What a great Christmas gift this would be!
Otherwise - The winning ticket will be drawn after all the tickets are sold.
Status of ticket sales will be posted on Readings page.
You can purchase tickets from Maureen Trickett at the club on Wednesday nights 5 to 9 or Sundays 1 to 4 in September. Also you can purchase a ticket if you have VENMO. Please send to: Maureen-Trickett-Coach and then I will send you back your raffle ticket numbers and a photo. Please make sure you include your phone number so we can txt a photo of your raffle ticket and more importantly, if your name is pulled, we can contact you.

Dates: August 16 2025, Firing starts: 9:00 am Saturday
OPEN TO: All Competitors, PLACE: Reading Rifle & Revolver Club Range, Haverhill Street, Reading, MA.
ENTRIES: Day of the match, limited to 40 competitors.
FEES: Entry fee $40.00. Cash ONLY.
Targets: Reading High Power will be using Shot Marker Electronic Targets see electronic scoring rules for targets under contention.
RIFLES TYPES: Service Rifle M1, M14 or M16, or civilian equivalent may be used. NRA Match Rifle or Any Rifle and Palma Rifle. F Class and FTR. Competitors must shoot the same rifle through all stages of fire, those changing rifles will not qualify for overall/classification win.
COURSE OF FIRE: Unlimited Sighers and 20 shots for record in a block time of 26mins at each distance, Stage 1 300yds (MR-63 target), Stage 2 500yds (MR-65 target), Stage 3 600yds (MR-1 target) Stage 4 600yds (MR-65 target) Shooter must declare when record shots will start by stating clearly "going for record" Stage 4 will not count for score sent for classification/records, however it WILL COUNT for Aggregate Championship Score
RULES: Current High Power Rules. No 55 or 62 grain .223 ammo may be fired at 600 yards. OPEN BOLT INDICATOR must be used.
CLASSIFICATION: Five or more Classified or Unclassified shooters will constitute a (separate) class at the discretion of the Match Director.
State Champion MUST BE a resident of Massachusetts.
AWARDS: Trophy Plaques will be awarded to Overall Winner(s) in all categories if 5 or more shoot in Match Rifle, Service Rifle, Palma and F&FTR classes
THE HIGH OVERALL SCORE REGARDLESS OF RIFLE CLASS (with the exception of F&FTR class) WILL BE THE MASS STATE CHAMPION. Separate Mass State Champion's will be awarded for "F" Class and Service Rifle if more than 5 competitors in those rifle classes
SQUADDING: Arrive early enough to pick up squadding which will be available at 7:30am
