Pagoda construction wrapping up as opening date approaches 04/22/2026

Work is finishing up at the Pagoda and we are looking forward to gaining access to start prepping the interior to welcome back the public! More on that soon but join us outside the Pagoda this Sunday at 1pm for Pagoda Day! April 21st was the 115th anniversary of the day Jonathan Mould deeded the Pagoda to the City of Reading. We will be celebrating by raising a new flag and handing out goodie bags to any members of the public who want to join us there! ⛩️✨

Pagoda construction wrapping up as opening date approaches City officials say construction should wrap up by Wednesday, when they will start removing the construction fences.

🚨 PAGODA DAY CLARIFICATION: There was some confusion regarding our Pagoda day festivities - the Parking lot will be open prior to the flag raising (at 1:00pm) and after the ceremony. (20-30mins max) If you want to be present for the ceremony we just ask that you arrive prior to its beginning to park. We want to close the lot for safety reasons since some of the ceremony will be navigating the flag across the throughway and up the center island. Thanks for understanding.
