Empire Services is proud to play a role in revitalizing a historic neighborhood in Reading, PA. Our team is currently providing interior and exterior demolition services for a major redevelopment project located on a busy city corner.

The project includes six structures, five of which will be demolished to grade. The remaining building will be transformed into senior apartments, helping bring new life to the area while preserving part of its history.

Before demolition could begin, the site required extensive clearing of trees and overgrowth to allow our team to safely bring in equipment and begin work. With the area cleared, our team got to work demolishing the first structure, a butler building.

Not every demolition project is about bringing things down fast — sometimes it’s about bringing them down with precision. At Empire Services, our crew is currently hand-demolishing a roof at a processing plant because a complex piping system that feeds active operations runs directly beneath it. Using circular saws, our team is carefully cutting small sections and using scaffolding to protect the piping below while keeping the project moving efficiently and safely.
