Squish, splash, create! 🫐🎨 Our social skills group got a little messy and a whole lot creative as we squished fresh berries into paint and turned nature into beautiful works of art! Along the way, we practiced sharing, taking turns, exploring textures, and expressing ourselves through creativity. Learning is always sweeter with a little berry fun! 💜🍓🫐

We can only continue to provide the best support for our clients by growing our knowledge and skills! Our wonderful SLPs, Rachel and Bella, recently led a hands-on AAC training for our entire staff. As we support our little ones in expressing themselves each day, it’s essential that we continue learning about and becoming more confident with alternative forms of communication.

One simple but powerful strategy we can all use is talking about the world around us. Everyday moments create great opportunities for communication and language growth. For example, we might say, “The sky is blue” while pointing up at the sky. We can then take it a step further by modeling that same message on an AAC device, showing our little ones another way to communicate and express their thoughts.

Communication comes in many forms, and every child deserves to have their voice heard. We are committed to learning, growing, and doing everything we can to help our little ones express their wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings, building a strong foundation for a successful future.
