Mockery. Threats. Betrayal from people he trusted. And through all of it, Nehemiah looks at everything coming against him and says the same thing four times without changing a word:

"I am doing a great work and I cannot come down."

This Sunday we are in Week 2 of our Nehemiah series — and we're going to discover that opposition is not a sign you're doing something wrong. It's often the clearest sign you're doing something right.

Have you ever felt like something was broken beyond repair? 💛

In our new series Starting with God, we're looking at the story of Nehemiah — a man who heard that his home city, Jerusalem, was in ruins. Its walls broken down, its gates burned. And instead of jumping straight into fix-it mode, he sat down and wept. He prayed. For four months, before he ever spoke a word to the king, he brought his broken heart to God first.

It's a good reminder for all of us: whatever we're rebuilding — a family, a dream, a piece of our life that feels shattered — the foundation isn't our talent or our timing. It starts with God.
