Army ROTC produces approximately 60 percent of the Second Lieutenants who join the active Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard. KU Buddy Ranger Competition is broken up into 6 stages. The first is a 15km ruck march. The second, third and fourth are five events each that test the Cadets technical and tactical knowledge of basic soldier skills. The fifth event is a mystery event.
