Located on the corner of 6th Street and Main in downtown Rapid City, Prairie Edge stands two stories high and stretches out for half a block. The brick, wood, and glass storefront have been restored to its original 19th century glory. Inside, the hardwood floors and polished cabinetry bring to mind the spirit of the Old West, while the distinct smell of sweetgrass and soft sound of a Lakota flute evoke the mystique of the Great Plains Indian.

Did you know that Native Americans enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces at a higher rate per capita than any other ethnic group? Ready to defend their homeland always, these brave servicemen and women fought to protect the freedom for all of us: including the freedom to practice sacred traditions. We are here to support our entire community. Let us stand in unity, honoring those who fought for the rights we exercise today.
