Shepherd is missing after a car accident last night about 2 miles outside Hermosa on highway 40. He fled the scene into a field, is scared, and may be injured. He was wearing a white collar with 4 tags on it.

If seen, please message us—we will forward sightings to his owner.

Today we drove up to Camp Marrowbone to bring home a group of Lakota children after two weeks away at camp.

The ride home was full of smiles, jokes, stories, and music. They told us their favorite parts were swimming in the Missouri River, making new friends, and that the food was “gas.” (Which is really good, we think?) They are already talking about wanting to go back next year.

We let them DJ on the way home, and listening to the songs they chose really hit us. Songs about holding onto your legacy, surviving hard things, and knowing your life is meant for more.

That is exactly what we want for them too.

More joy. More memories. More friendships. More safe places to just be kids. More reasons to believe their future can be good.

Thank you to everyone who donated supplies and helped make sure these kids had what they needed for camp. Many of you are miles away, but your kindness reached all the way here.

Because of you, they got to go. Because of you, they came home with stories. Because of you, they are already dreaming about next year.

Camp Marrowbone season is underway, and we're so proud of the youth who are already off making memories, building friendships, and experiencing new adventures!
