My company works with CPA's and building owners to provide cost segregation services. It is a tax and engineering analysis of real-estate including leasehold improvements. It's designed to accelerate the tax deduction for depreciation by reclassifying eligible assets to shorter recovery periods.
Any building purchased or renovated since January 1987 and valued at or more than 500k should qualify.
