If we’ve talked at all since March of this year, you’ve almost certainly about a ball team I was coaching. This spring season saw Rylan hit .733 and lead his team to a 9-1 season. Mallie hit 7 home runs in her last season of coach pitch and went undefeated in her regular season. It was my honor to sponsor both of their teams this spring.
Both kids were selected for their All-Star teams and had great summers! Rylan’s team fought hard in the district tournament,ultimately losing in the championship game. Mallie’s team also finished second in their district but qualified to represent Wendell in the Tar Heel State tournament.
We went to North Wilkesboro and represented well with a top 4 finish (16 teams from across the state).
I’m proud of all the kids in these pictures and thankful to the coaches standing beside me. They think we’re just playing ball….but I know better.
