Oh the agony! Look away! Hurry! Change the channel! 😂
Seriously though, the skills it takes to be a court reporter are pretty incredible. People are speaking, often very rapidly (225 words a minute or more), as the stenographer’s hands are methodically depressing multiple keys at once, much like playing chords on a piano. You can’t be daydreaming at any time for this job! Shout out to all of the court reporters for your incredible speed, concentration, and precision! You’re amazing!
