We had a privilege to design The Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center for The Aziz and Gwen Sancar Foundation. The Center is dedicated to increasing understanding of Turkey, its people, customs and history.

Dr. Aziz Sancar is the winner of the Nobel Prize in Chmistry in 2015. He and his wife, Gwen, founded the foundation in 2007. After Dr. Sancar won the Nobel Prize, they decided to build the center to promote Turkish culture. We, Innovative Design, were hired to design the center to become a notable sustainable project targeting net zero energy. We, Innovative Design, takes this low-carbon buildings pilot program and the Grid-interactive Efficient Buildings (GEB) program seriously. Carbon footprint analysis of Scope 1, 2 and 3 will be provided. Real-time control to demand response (DR) and a localized renewable energy system will be integrated into our building design. As we have been, we are committed to be the leader of the sustainable design.
