After graduating from UCBC's multimedia program, Steve Kanyangambi dedicated his life to promoting reconciliation and peace across eastern Congo. For the past 11 years, he has worked alongside communities affected by conflict, helping people choose forgiveness over division.
Here, Steve shares the transformations he has witnessed and why he believes peace is still possible.

At UCBC, we’re always excited to see our graduates come back as educators, mentors and leaders who help shape the next generation.
Meet Mapamboli Ebuta Benie, who studied at the UCBC from 2017 to 2021 in Electromechanical Engineering. Today, he’s back as both a graduate student and a lecturer in the same field where his journey began.
For him, UCBC was more than a university. It was a community that shaped his character, strengthened his values and prepared him for life beyond the classroom. He credits UCBC’s commitment to academic discipline, community service and spiritual life as solid pillars in his journey.
We are excited to follow Mapamboli as he continues to change lives. UCBC will always be your family.
