I propose that all engagement sessions be like Grace & Erick’s, true to who you are as a couple. When we talked through portrait ideas, they mentioned that bowling was one of their first dates. So naturally, we hit the lanes. Erick got so caught up in the fun that he lost focus (and the game). Fun fact: he also lost the very first game they played together. But in the end, they both won the best prize...finding each other. You can say “awe” now.

Towards the end of the night I asked Debbie & Michael to give me two minutes of time for a portrait. In reality, I only needed one minute and two lights to create this image. Once small softbox in the front and a one in the barn with a red gel to balance it all out. Slow shutter speed (15th of a second) to grab some ambient light.
