NC State Apiculture Program

The BeeMORE program is underway again this year. The 2026 participants spent the morning collecting native bees at the arboretum and the afternoon learning about honey bees with David Tarpy and Hannah Levenson.

Joe has been busy adding drone frames to colonies and capturing newly emerged drones for his project with Brad. Updates to come later in the summer.

Claudia is busy today setting up her first trial studying laying workers.
