Downtown Burlington is continuing to take shape.

Construction is moving quickly on the Paramount Theater Expansion, and the transformation is becoming more visible by the day.

We are excited to see this historic space evolve with new gathering spaces, expanded capacity, and a rooftop deck overlooking downtown.

We’re proud to partner with NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources and NC Historic Sites, to restore and enhance the home and workshop of Thomas Day, one of North Carolina’s most celebrated craftsmen.

A free Black man in the early 1800s, Day built a nationally recognized furniture business, producing masterful woodworking for some of the state’s most prominent clients.

Our team is designing a range of interior and exterior improvements to help bring the site closer to how it would have been during Day’s lifetime, while also honoring the full history of the building over time.

These renovations will preserve the site’s history, expand accessibility, and create a more immersive experience that connects visitors to Thomas Day’s life and legacy.
