DAY 1 | 31 Days of Spooky DIYs
SKELETON IN BLOODY HOT TUB CANDLE
Supplies:
- Small skeleton from Walmart
- Black Bowl from Dollartree
- 2 Red & 1 White Candle from Dollar Tree
- Washcloth from Dollar Tree
You’ll also need a hot glue gun & a large pot to boil water in.
Steps:
1. Fill a large pot with water about ¾ the way full & add the candles to the pot. Set your stove to medium-high heat and bring the water to a boil. Continue to boil until the wax from all three candles melts.
2. Cut the skeleton in half, we will only use the head & torso. Add hot glue to the spine of the skeleton and attach it to the edge of the bowl.
3. Glue two wicks from the melted candles to the bottom of the bowl where the skeleton’s legs would be. Make sure you use something to hold the wicks up. I wrapped them around a pencil.
4. Carefully pour the two red candles in the bowl over the skeleton & let cool completely.
5. Once the red wax is cooled, carefully pour the white candle over the red wax & let cool.
6. Add a towel to the skeleton’s head by cutting a small piece of the washcloth and wrapping it around his head. Use hot glue to attach.
Shout out to for the inspiration for these spooky candles 🖤
