Wake MBA

The WMBA Correctional Ministry held a training workshop on June 27 from 10:00 to 2:00 at St Matthews MBC. We are especially grateful for Rev. Dr. Ronald Avery, pastor of St. Matthews, and Rev. Dr. Michael Smith, the presenter.

Rev. Dr. Smith presented on teaching volunteers how to serve those receiving correctional services, covering two workshop topics: 1. Overcoming Evil with Good, and 2. A Christian Worldview of Understanding Correctional Ministry.

We look forward to how God will continue to use the WMBA Correctional Ministry to serve those receiving correctional services as well as their families.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Reverend Dr. James S. Utley for his dedicated service on the Community Relations Advisory Board.

During his time on the Advisory Board, Reverend Dr. Utley offered thoughtful insight, wisdom, and a passion for strengthening our community. His leadership reflects the same values that have guided his life’s work of serving others, building meaningful relationships, and making a lasting difference.

We are truly thankful for the time, dedication, and perspective he has shared with our town.
