Food + Wine gathers an exemplary lineup of chefs and vintners, but we need to highlight the hardworking hosts! They, too, are giving their time and energy to support our community meal program.

Former University of North Carolina basketball star Marcus Ginyard, known for his performance on the court and his commitment to community service, will act as MC. A wine lover with a passion for making a difference, told us, “I am honored to be a part of Now Serving’s marquee event. Their mission aligns with my values and I am excited to support a cause that not only addresses immediate nutritional needs, but also fosters long-term community relationships.”

Across the way in is Jermainia. Co-founder of Raleigh’s The Day Party with regular DJ gigs at Clockwork and other local spots, is the “connoisseur of all things crisp” who, when given the option, chose to play all four hours of this event (instead of just two). Committed to the mission, thank you. We’re excited to hear his sound throughout SH on Saturday.

Now Serving Food + Wine returns Saturday, Oct. 19 in Smoky Hollow. We’re overwhelmed by the support from this incredible collective of food and bev businesses. Our largest fundraiser to date, the event could fund 20,000+ new meals for our neighbors in need. We’re thrilled to add and to this exceptional group…

Please consider buying one of the remaining tickets to experience this unique celebration of hospitality (and make an impact while doing it). Ticket link in our bio.

Proceeds will also help fund our ongoing meal delivery to Asheville and surrounding areas, continuing service to individuals and families who need it most in Western NC.

See you in two weeks!

200 chicken & rice pans from Dough Rings and Sweet Things caterer are available at WNC Farmers Market in Asheville at 10 a.m. Huge thanks to for transporting and handling onsite distribution.

Thanks to your quick response and generosity, today’s meals are funded. We plan to increase our prepared meal distribution in the area. Please click the link in our bio and select Western NC Meals to support their creation. ($25 = 50 meals / $50 = 100 meals / etc.)

If you’re new to our org, Now Serving has created 140,000 meals for community agencies like The Women’s Center, Meals on Wheels, and food pantries in east Raleigh since 2022. Our mission is to strengthen communities through food service and we’ll continue delivering to Western NC for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your support.

It’s true, many Food + Wine participants host weekend brunches we crave. But Raleigh’s best breakfast? Mr. B***o serves that out of a food truck in a Valero parking lot at 220 Six Forks Rd. Sarah Frey and her crew churn out scrambled egg and cheese with black beans, pico, and your choice of protein in taco, burrito, bowl, etc. Delicious sauces and piping hot coffee round out this straightforward, superb gem in the city’s food scene.

On Oct. 19, Sarah will pair with Jackie Adams, featured recently in the WRAL video about Now Serving, to create a unique dish. A former food truck operator, Jackie is our organization’s primary meal maker, cooking more than 6,000 meals per week from her commissary kitchen to deliver to community agencies for distribution. She is the backbone of our meal program and we’re lucky to have her showcase some food of her own at Food + Wine next month.

See you soon at Smoky Hollow! Less than 250 tickets (only 59 VIP) remain for our biggest annual fundraiser.
