Raleigh is growing…but for who?  🤔
The average paycheck here doesn’t match the rising rent, and Families who’ve called this city home for generations are being pushed out while developers build for profit, not people.
Real care looks like keeping housing affordable so the people who built Raleigh’s culture can actually stay and enjoy it.

This is our city, and it should be livable for ALL of us…not just those who can afford luxury apartments.✨💛

Tomorrow, workers and oppressed people across the country will unite to fight the ruling class agenda that is attempting to roll back every measure of social progress won through struggle over the last century.

We are rallying to demand a country that puts our families over their fortunes--public schools over private profits, workers over bosses, migrant safety over fear-mongering, healthcare over hedge funds, housing over homelessness, and solidarity over US-led imperialism and genocide. We join a chorus of workers across the world who are freeing themselves from the chains of capitalist, imperialist domination and organizing for working class power towards a global liberated future.

Join us and numerous other endorsing organizations tomorrow, May Day, 4:00PM at Halifax Mall in Raleigh as we unite and fight.

Join us this Saturday at 4pm in solidarity with as they kick off election week!

Nearly 5,000 Amazon workers at RDU1 in Garner, NC, have been organizing to win their union, with an election set for February 10-15. This comes in the midst of Amazon worker organizing picking up across the country, in many cases building off the networks of rank-and-file cadre who have been organizing inside Amazon for many years, as is especially the case here in NC. In January 2022, workers at Amazon’s RDU1 fulfillment center established CAUSE, co-founded by Rev. Ryan Brown and Mary “Ma Mary” Hill.

The South has historically been the most difficult region for labor organizing, with a Jim Crow legacy that has sought to suppress workers' power through keeping them in low-wage, exploitative conditions with little to no bargaining power—especially Black and brown workers. NC is the 2nd least unionized state in the U.S. NC’s “right-to-work” and other anti-union policies weaken unions, making it nearly impossible for workers to collectively demand better conditions.

A victory for CAUSE would be a historic breakthrough for the Southern labor movement, proving that workers in one of the most anti-union states in the country can organize and win against corporate giants like Amazon. It would be a major step toward rebuilding worker power in the South.

Our vision of real community safety in Raleigh and beyond is rooted in economic justice. When workers win power, our communities become stronger, safer, and more self-determined!

Let's get this win! See y'all Saturday!
