Wed-Sun - noon-7pm
Mon-Tues- by appointment. Our shop is located at 14 Glenwood Ave #21, Raleigh
We also have a printer drop off point in Durham near Southpoint.

We’re hiring at Ecovate 3D!

I’m looking for one or more people with the kindness and stomach to handle working in a niche small business. This person(s) will be my right hand human and help me oversee operations at our little community shop. We’re a small business but we have so much room to grow and I’m looking for someone creative, independent, and full of action to be a real teammate at this store!

This position is salaried part time with the intention of growing into a full time position. Store hours are Wed-Sun noon-7 but I’m only expecting 3-4 day per week. Some weekend availability is a MUST- approximately half the weekend days per month. I’m open to off Sat/Sun and work the other or taking every other weekend off.
We are too small to offer benefits packages, but we’ve got unlimited PTO, lots of flexibility, bonuses, and a handful of other perks.
I am listing two separate management roles, but am more than open to combining them into a larger role for the right person. I am invested in and open to developing the right fit for this team.

Operations manager -
Duties will include
Overseeing retail store operations- such as intaking stock deliveries, ordering parts, customer service, booking classes, adding new products to the system, retail counter work, etc
Knowledge of products in store and ability to explain to customers and team members
Project managing commissions of both print projects and design projects and operating 3D printers.
Communicating with parts and repair department to make sure everyone is on track
Assisting with community involvement, community building, social media, and event planning
Skills/Experience:
An independent leadership forward mindset, and great at organizing people and things.
3D printing experience of at least a hobby level or some form of involvement in the maker community. Enthusiasm about 3D printing and the 3D printing community is a must.
Community focused, customer service experience.
Bonus- experience with corporate, military, and educational bids and infrastructure
Bonus- import/export or warehouse management experience.

Technical manager-
Duties will include-
Overseeing repair room- scheduling/assigning freelance repair techs, communicating with customers on repair status updates, doing a few repairs yourself
Lead and complete CAD projects and commissions for customers.
Quoting commission prints and operating 3D printers to complete projects
Knowledge of 3D printing materials and applicable usage.
Skills/Experience needed-
CAD design - open to which software- preference for OnShape and functional object leaning skills
3D printer repair experience- we have a lot of Bambulab
Ability to problem solve and communicate solutions effectively to customers
Comfortable leading a small team and supporting our freelance and junior techs.

On top of this- We are looking to add a couple more freelance techs to the team
CAD Designers- primarily functional objects and prototyping. Open to
Repair technicians- covering Bambulab, Creality, Snapmaker, Elegoo, and Voron is a big bonus.

This was last quarters event and with a lot of people coming in to get upgrades lately- tomorrow will be popping!
We'll be here noon-5 but highly reccomend coming closer to noon!
