Campers explored how everyday decisions can impact their thoughts, feelings, and future through a Positive Choices Scavenger Hunt and a Positive Thinking Shot Put challenge. These activities encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and healthy decision-making skills.

The day continued in the Art Therapy Arena, where campers used their creativity to design positive artistic reminders to help them maintain healthy thinking habits long after camp ends. 🎨🧠

As our week begins to wind down, we’re so proud of the growth, confidence, and resilience our campers have demonstrated. We can’t wait for one more amazing day together! 💙

Day 2 of Mental Health Summer Camp was packed with learning, growth, and fun!

A special thank you to the Radcliff Fire Department for visiting our campers and providing an educational demonstration on kitchen fire safety, including the best tools to use in an emergency. Campers also enjoyed exploring the fire truck and learning about the equipment firefighters use every day.

Our campers also focused on mindfulness through balance exercises and mindful eating activities, while learning about the power of a growth mindset. To bring that lesson to life, each camper planted flowers as a reminder that personal growth—just like a garden—takes patience, care, and effort.

We’re loving all the learning and memories being made this week! 💙

We’re proud to recognize Courtney Dix, Director of Outpatient Services, and Stephen Hill, Business Development Coordinator/Mobile Assessor, for presenting at the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy Annual Conference and representing Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System.

During the conference, Courtney and Stephen led two educational sessions focused on the behavioral health needs of youth across the Commonwealth. Their presentations, “Tangled Together: Co-Occurring Disorders in Youth and What They Mean for Your Cases” and “From Assessment to Advocacy: Navigating Treatment Levels,” provided attorneys, investigators, and social workers with valuable insight into co-occurring disorders, behavioral health assessments, treatment recommendations, and the continuum of care available to support young people and their families.

At Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, we are committed to supporting Kentucky’s youth through compassionate, evidence-based care while helping educate community partners on the importance of early intervention, advocacy, and access to appropriate treatment.

Thank you, Courtney and Stephen, for sharing your expertise and helping improve outcomes for youth and families across the Commonwealth.
