Weather here has been extremely cold hovering under 10 degrees. Sunday I decided to wear one of my favorite blue colors, periwinkle. I had a great pair of shoes to wear with the outfit so I just wore the shoes without hosiery and froze. Usually I find it advantageous, to save time and frustration, to try everything on In advance. When I got home I did put on some tights in a neutral muted color and I think they work great with the outfit because they are in the same color value. So next time you are in a quandary about what to wear with something remember to look for something in a similar value to the garment you want to wear. Actually I did that with the darker blue jacket and was surprised how nicely the skirt and jacket looked together.
