The City has received notification from the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and National Grid that sidewalk work on Quincy Shore Drive will commence on Monday, July 7th.

The work will begin at the intersection of Quincy Shore Drive and Carle Road and extend to the intersection of Quincy Shore Drive and Sea Street. The work is expected to continue into late fall.

The scope of the work includes the repair and replacement of sidewalks, handicap ramps, and the underground-fed street lighting system. Asphalt sidewalks will be installed from Carle to Furnace Brook Parkway; the remainder will be concrete.

Where Quincy Shore Drive is not a City-owned road, the work will not be overseen by the City, nor will it be subject to City permitting or traffic management requirements.

For more information on this project, please reach out to DCR at 617-626-1250 or at [email protected]
