Pride Popcorn

Today was the last day of our show. What an incredible experience these past three days have been!! And we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to hang out with!!

The kids showed up today and they got to go on their first subway ride. It was quite a hilarious trip from Harlem to Times Square. We ate some really fantastic pizza and walked around a bit.

Tomorrow we turn into full blown tourists! Lol.

Sorry, today’s kinda boring picture day. But it was a great day at the show. We got to chat with several retailers, buyers and influencers today. Keep your fingers crossed 🤞 that something will come of them!

On a side note, we ate some great food, I (Dani), figured out that not all maple syrup is gross lol, got turned around underground (subway system 😆), and only have one more day left until mom and the kids meet up with us! 😀

We are finally where we can rest a bit. Chasing those yellow and white lines sure got weary this evening 😮‍💨

Today was pretty great though! We crossed five state lines today!

If you ever want to take a 15 hour drive to take a hike 😆, go to Hocking Hills, Ohio. Going back here, and spending more time, probably made both of our bucket lists. Oh, and the Appalachians are absolutely stunning!

On the downside, if you ever want to go stay in Effingtown, Ohio just because the name sounds funny…. don’t do it. As Maria said, “they definitely lived up to their name”. 😬

Anyways, here’s a few pics of today. Tomorrow we pop into NYC!

Our children are teenagers so they’re probably tucked inside their blankies. Maria and I on the other hand are headed to NYC!

We are joining the Made in Oklahoma Coalition and other beautiful businesses at the Summer Fancy Food Show. Wish us luck (cross those🤞and toes) on a successful event for all of us!

Don’t worry, our next two weeks of posts will be chronicles of our crazy adventure from Oklahoma to New York and back home!

Oh and the shop will still be open! Our wonderful hardworking employees will be there keeping you satisfied with our yummy fresh popcorn!

We are so very saddened about hearing of the passing of Bekah. She was one of our students that worked with us last summer through the Toksali program. Her friendly and bubbly personality was such a blessing to see everyday she worked with us. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with a sad and heavy heart to share that we lost our beloved band student Rebekah Grissam. She would have been starting her senior year with The Pride of Lindsay playing trombone. Bekah was kind to everyone she interacted with and was always eager to improve her playing skills as a trombone player. Her plans was to continue her music career at The University of Oklahoma and major in music education. Her smile and positive attitude was contagious every time she walked into the band room. We love you and you will always be remembered as one of our favorite band students. Prayers to her family and to her band family. 🧡🎶
