Lets Make Provo Great Again

In February of 1973, I went up to the US Consulate at the Federal Building in Salt Lake City, there and then, I raised my right hand to the square, swore unto God, angels and these witnesses that “I will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me God.” From that day forward, I took my citizenship very seriously. As I take the oath

Greetings to everyone today I’m announcing my candidacy for Mayor of the great city of Provo, my goal as Mayor is to make Provo self-reliant, by reducing government cost to $0.00 (zero) by getting citizen participation in running the government, instead of hiring incompetent highly paid bureaucrats that hijack their job as a permanent vacation. The government is the job of the people that’s why the Constitution says “We the People” running the government ourselves voluntarily will bring our taxes down to $0.00 (zero) or close to it. Further I would like to bring the party back to this great city by lifting the restrictions of the businesses and giving them carte blanche. I did not read anywhere in the Constitution that the city can make money off their citizens, especially in the millions. Provo city power last year made $46 million profit from their Provo residential customers. That would be $480,000 royalty check to every citizen of the city of Provo regarding their power bill and that’s not including all of the other ways the city has been profiteering and looting the citizens. With me as your Mayor I will make sure I will return all the money that I can to the citizens as a result of enterprises operated by the city. I would like to dissolve the planning commission. I don’t believe that we can have six persons with authority to decide on behalf of the 101,000 citizens currently in the city of Provo and the current (sic) $303 million budget. I believe that we can make a voting system that all citizens of the city of Provo can be involved in making the decisions and city policies. Because of such a low crime rate in Provo, I don’t believe that we need to spend millions on the police department. No one has more experience with the Provo police then me personally, I know just how to handle the police department to reduce the millions that it is costing, for nothing or should I say next to nothing. There will be no more traffic stops in Provo to harass citizens, and the police will be moved out of the downtown area to allow the businesses to flourish. I don’t believe that the State of Utah and Utah County may have its businesses in Provo city limits and not pay the citizens of Provo in the form of tax relief, for the benefits of the Utah State Hospital, and the Utah County buildings. As your Mayor, I will support and defend all the citizen’s constitutional rights, and not allow government to raise taxes without representation. The decisive Vote of the Citizens of the great city of Provo will be conclusive. So stand with me and let’s make Provo great again as we fly the flag of “The Title of Liberty” at the city building.
