Remember Jayden?

The cat who came to us after his owner passed away. The cat who promptly escaped his foster room, disappeared behind a kitchen cabinet for two weeks, and required some creative use of power tools and a humane trap before he could finally be brought back to safety?

Well, these days he's known as Yoda. ❤️

Yoda was adopted by a wonderful man who was looking for a companion for his resident cat, Aspen. While Yoda's journey to this point has not always been easy, his adopter understood exactly what he needed most: patience.

When Yoda first arrived, he spent a week in deep hiding. His new dad gave him the time and space he needed to feel safe. Little by little, Yoda began venturing out and showing his true self.

Recently, we received the update we've been hoping for.: Yoda now waits for his new dad in "their" recliner so they can snuggle while watching TV. At bedtime, he flops over and rolls around for pets and scritches.

For a cat who once felt the need to disappear from the world, seeing him choose connection, comfort, and love is incredibly special.

Happy tails, Yoda. We're so glad you found your way home. ❤️

Meet Bert McSquash. ❤️

This sweet boy showed up in rough shape. A Good Samaritan posted about him in a local Facebook group, and one of our volunteers was contacted right away. Thanks to that quick teamwork, we were able to jump in and get Bert to safety after the finder successfully trapped him.

By the following Monday, our amazing friends at Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue were able to fit him in and help us get him the care he desperately needed. Bert was feeling a little spicy about the whole situation, so he required a sedated exam, but their team was able to give him the works: neuter, flea & tick treatment, vaccinations, bloodwork, tick removal, medications, and more - all care that our rescue was happy to cover to help get him back on the road to recovery.

We are so incredibly grateful to Scruffy Paws for always showing up for cats like Bert and helping us give them a second chance. 🧡

Since coming into care, Bert has been eating VERY well, taking his antibiotics like a champ, and already seems to be feeling so much better. We’re still figuring out whether indoor life is his thing, but one thing is for sure: this boy is safe, loved, and being absolutely doted on while we help him heal.

Thank you to everyone who cared enough to speak up, share his post, trap him, transport him, and help him along the way. It truly takes a village.

If you’d like to support Bert’s recovery and help us continue helping cats in crisis, donations are always appreciated and go directly toward medical care, food, and supplies for cats in need. 🐾

Meet Trixie Meowtel, named by one of our amazing auction donors after the stunning and brilliant Trixie Mattel 💖

We first met Trixie back in December when she was TNR’d as part of a local colony. At the time, she made it very clear she was not interested in our help, our opinions, or frankly, any of our nonsense.

Well… she’s changed her tune.

After recently being spotted by her feeder with some pretty significant wounds, we went back out to trap her and get her to our vet. We initially suspected flea allergy or skin irritation, which still appears to be the case, but she also had open wounds that needed veterinary care so she can safely heal and recover.

And somewhere along the way, Trixie decided she is officially over the outdoor lifestyle and would very much like to be an indoor cat with a roof, snacks, and respect for her personal brand.

She is now safe in foster care, where she is resting, healing, and settling into her new chapter.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated volunteer Kerrin for stepping in to hold her while she waited for a foster placement. That kind of in-between support makes all the difference.

Trixie is a very sweet, chatty girl who loves attention and is especially fond of a good wand toy session. She’s on her road to recovery now, and we are so happy she is safe and getting the care she deserves. 💕
