Most of our members are also active members of the Rhode Island Republican State Central Committee and/or of the various Republican city and town committees throughout the state. Among other things, the RIRA hosts monthly dinner meetings, where like-minded conservatives discuss current events, debate intra-party issues, formulate political strategies, as well as hear from select conservative speakers. Comprised of traditional Republicans, the NFRA is an independent grassroots organization, dedicated to working within the framework of the Republican Party, to promote the active participation of our members toward the endorsement, support, and election of principled Republican candidates. The NFRA is an outgrowth of the very successful California Republican Assembly. President Ronald Reagan considered it to be “The Conscience of the Republican Party” ©. Founded in 1934, and dedicated to preserving the American way of life, it is our nation’s oldest and largest conservative Republican grassroots volunteer organization. The NFRA serves as the national umbrella organization for all of the state Republican Assembly © organizations across America. Working to unite all conservatives — both economic and social — whose interests range from tax cuts and reform to national defense, from Pro-Life to education concerns, from Second Amendment to national sovereignty, to advance traditional conservative Republican values. Our primary goal is to ensure that the Republican Party does not turn away from the enduring values and conservative principles championed by President Ronald Reagan.
