Welcome to the team, Spencer and Mick!
The Providence Police Mounted Command is proud to welcome its two newest draft horses, Spencer, a Clydesdale, and Mick, a Belgian Draft. Once training is complete, they’ll join our mounted officers in supporting patrols, community events, and outreach throughout Providence.
A special thank you to Terry Moran for his continued generosity and support of our Mounted Command.
🚨TRAFFIC ADVISORY🚨
Branch Avenue is currently closed between Langdon Street and Vandewater Street due to a dump truck rollover that spilled asphalt across the roadway.
In addition, the off-ramp from Route 146 South to Branch Avenue has been closed by State Police.
The roadway will remain closed until the asphalt can be safely cleaned up. Please avoid the area, expect delays, and seek alternate routes. We will provide updates as they become available.
