βš–οΈ DE attorneys Timothy Conlon and Julia Nasiek will lead a CLE session this Thursday at the Rhode Island Bar Association's Annual Meeting titled "Beyond the Perpetrator: Institutional Liability in Sexual Abuse Cases."

The presentation comes at a pivotal time, with the imminent enactment of Rhode Island legislation that would allow victims of clergy sexual abuse to pursue claims against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence and other institutions alleged to have failed to prevent abuse. The law creates a two-year window for victims previously barred by the statute of limitations to bring their claims.

Timothy has been at the forefront of advocating for victims of child sexual abuse for decades and has earned numerous accolades for his work in this area. We are proud to see him and Julia sharing their knowledge on this important and evolving area of the law.
