Studio Geiger Architecture

This vacation home, designed by Paris-based NeM Architectes () sits on the coast of Brittany.
The original house is the white structure, and the bedroom addition is the dark structure made using the charred wood technique of shot-sugi-ban. The new and old coexist, roof pitches and shapes mirrored, though materials, space and detailing are very different.
