Here's a tip when canning pears! Put a couple at a time in boiling water for just a few seconds then quickly place them in ice water! Like you can do with peaches. The skins peel right off! Then rub under cold water! Place them in water with fruit fresh or lemon juice to keep from turning brown. Then can as you usually do!! This works AWESOME!!
