To achieve healthy watersheds and clean waters in central Arizona for the benefit of people and wildlife through protection, restoration, education and advocacy. Prescott Creeks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to promote, protect and celebrate the ecological integrity of riparian systems and associated wetlands in the central Arizona watersheds through conservation, restoration and education.

The Prescott Fire Department (PFD) and the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) enacted Stage I fire restrictions as of 8 a.m. this morning - Friday, May 30 - throughout the 42 square mile service area of the .
There are approximately 50 miles of named creeks within the Prescott area that could be negatively affected by wildfire. Please do your part to be safe by using care when visiting creeks lakes and natural areas.
Of particular concern for is the - which has experienced multiple wildfires during the past 30 years. The 1997 Preserve wildfire originated in the Sundog Industrial Park at the upstream boundary of the Preserve and severely burned approximately 40 acres (~30%). A careful observer can still find evidence of this fire when visiting the Preserve.
