📍 Peregrine Book Company
Spoken word open mic is a monthly community event featuring poetry and short prose, held inside The Peregrine at the back stage. Bring your friends and your scribbled musings.
Featured Poet: Tinamarie Cox
Tinamarie Cox lives in Prescott Valley where she writes short stories and poetry, and creates artwork with various mediums. Her art has been featured on the covers of Troublemaker Firestarter, January House Literary Journal, Willows Wept Review, Five on the Fifth, and more. She has two poetry chapbooks with Bottlecap Press: Self-Destruction in Small Doses and A Collection of Morning Hours. As well as two poetry collections with Nymeria Publishing: Through a Sea Laced with Midnight Hues and her latest release, A Numbers Game.
A Numbers Game is Tinamarie Cox’s follow-up poetry collection to Through a Sea Laced with Midnight Hues. Where Midnight Hues focused on traveling through a depressive episode, A Numbers Game dives deeper and explores the beginnings of her mental health struggles. She has curated poetry, prose, images, and artwork from her past and present, which creates something just as much poetic as it is memoir. It gives a human face to su***de and mental illness.
