Who knew so much could change in 5 years???
March 18th, 2020 is a hard day for many of us to forget. It was the day I never thought could happen. We were told we had to shut our businesses down until it was safe to open. I ended up texting a few of my clients for the week, and then working on the two Diane’s in at the end of my day. I ended up leaving the salon at 2:30 in the morning. I didn’t know how long we would be shut down or anything else. We finally got to reopen 8 1/2 weeks later. Only 1 person at a time wearing masks, extra clean up and more.

Since that day has been so much loss. My husband and I moved my parents out of my childhood home after my dad got ill. We lost our dog Mr Man in June 2021 then my mom in Oct 2023, our dog Schnoozer in Jan 2024 and my dad in Nov 2024. Also my mother in law fought lung cancer and won in Aug 2023, while ai lost a few other clients to covid and other diseases.
On the other hand I had some good things like a remodel to my studio in Feb 2023, selling our 1st Lewis Center home and buying our dream home in (with many hiccups) in July 2024.
All of these changes makes me beyond thankful for all of those that have been there for my family and I. I wouldn’t know where we would be without you all. Thank you for reading my Ted Talk 🤪🤣

Balancing work life and home life sometimes is hard, but having the ability to work for myself has been so rewarding. I started working for myself back in August 2001. Back then I didn’t even know about hair extensions other than for black gals. Then I had a few co-workers starting to learn about them, but seeing how back then the keratin bonds had to use acetone on them to get them out, I didn’t want to do any damage to my clients hair, so I avoided doing them. Once I learned about microbeads I started practicing doing them and finally did my first 2 sets on a couple of ladies back in 2009 😳. Fast forward to these days where so many advances in hair extensions has happened, I now offer many more types, with a few more on their way. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements.
