After cancer diagnosis, Little Free Library founder feels like 'most successful person I know' After a cancer diagnosis, Little Free Library creator Todd Bol reflects on the movement he sparked.
We have received some very sad news that Todd Bol, the Founder and Executive Director, of the Little Free Library Foundation, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Todd has recently entered hospice care.
One of the most amazing things that Todd did with the LFL movement was to take a simple idea, and build it from local (in our case the LFL on a bikepath) to a global network of more than 75,000 Little Free Library stewards around the world dedicated to literacy and community.
Tonight, I will put a notebook out by our library and I encourage all of you to come by and write a note to Todd explaining how the library has impacted you and your families. I will send it on October 26. Please come by to sign it! Todd is a wonderful man and great friend. Let's show him how much we all appreciate him.
The library was looking pretty empty so I found some of my children's book and hit the friends of the library book sale to add to it! Please enjoy and leave a book when you can.
