Our experienced and friendly counselors and teaching artists support fun, hands-on art-making with various mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, animation, and performance, based on engaging weekly camp themes. Itβs not Hocus-Pocus, itβs Ulster Arts Camp! Week 1 is Wizards & Whimsy Theme, running from July 27th - July 31st. π§ββοΈπͺπ¨π©βπ¨πΌοΈβ¨
Calling all wizards and magic-makers! During this week of camp, students will get to craft ceramic potion bottles, construct magic wands and papier-mache wizard's hats, and explore the whimsy and wonder of art-making!

The Junior Art Institute is a 2 week skill-building program meant to take art lovers and make them into future artists! During their time with us, students will learn to use complex fine art techniques and skills to develop their very own body of work.
Fine Arts track students will explore drawing, painting, introductory figure drawing, and stop motion animation! These intensive art courses will teach students the various concepts of 2D and 3D art while showing them the many possibilities and outcomes these techniques and materials offer.
This track is perfect for students serious about fine art and developing their skill set. Located at The Allyn J. Washington Center @ Dutchess Community College.

Spend 3 weeks sharpening your art skills and building an advanced portfolio! The Summer Art Institute is an intensive portfolio building program that takes your talented students' skills to the next level!
During their time with us, students will be educated in advanced fine art and digital art making techniques, as well as contemporary concepts that will help them develop unique and engaging works of art. Students will receive feedback and guidance from our staff of working artists, participate in portfolio reviews with college representatives, create a network of like-minded peers, explore new materials, and expand their artistic knowledge!
The Summer Art Institute's Fine Arts Track includes courses in Painting & Drawing, Color & Human Figure, and Experimental Printmaking. This comprehensive fine arts track is perfect for young artists interested in creating a strong portfolio that includes impressive 2D artworks. Working from intricate still lifes and live models, students will learn contemporary art elements and explore experimental techniques. Fine Arts students will spend this summer using their artistic knowledge to develop an authentic, refined, and mature fine art portfolio! For ages 14-19. Located at The Allyn J.
