We see it time and time again. Dogs get adopted and it’s a joyous occasion… Then, usually within a few days to a few weeks, they get returned. Don’t get us wrong, sometimes it really just isn’t a good fit; but oftentimes, it’s because the dog was not given the time it takes to decompress, adjust and acclimate.

How would you feel if everything you’ve ever known changed in an instant? Would it be smooth sailing and you’d be your best self within a matter of hours? Ya… we didn’t think so either.
