I loved being here to watch this woman become a mama for the first time. I felt honored to get to take on the roll in that room of nurturer and friend to her besides just photographer. It was a darkly lit room, but a very cozy and peaceful atmosphere, especially after little Holden arrived:)

Looking at these photos brings me right back to the emotions every time. I felt I had done my best to be as professional minded as possible shooting the birth of my niece, but that moment my bestfriend looked up at me I lost it, my eyes were filled with tears after that. So beautiful. Watching her go with the flow when her birth plan got suddenly changed up, tear up and work through the pain, watching her become a mama all over again.. sigh:)
