Baseball is a game of moments.

The crack of the bat. The diving catch. The close play at the plate. The split-second decisions that can change the momentum of an entire game.

This game delivered plenty of those moments, and this team was ready for every one of them. They played hard, stayed focused, and earned a well-deserved victory.

Here are a few of my favorite action shots from a great day at the ballpark.

There is so much more to sports than the action on the field.

It is the passion, the camaraderie, the determination, the celebration, and the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself.

One of my favorite things about sports photography is capturing those authentic moments that tell the story behind the game. The smiles, the energy, the connection between teammates, and the memories being made along the way.

These are the moments that make sports special.

This team played with confidence, determination, and heart from start to finish. Every ground ball, every hustle play, every celebration, and every goal reflected the hard work and dedication these athletes bring to the field.

It was a joy to watch and photograph a team that competes with such energy and passion for the game. Congratulations on a well-earned victory and a performance that showcased the very best of girls lacrosse.

Not every battle ends with a win on the scoreboard.

Maine Footy fell 2-1 to the Worcester Wanderers today, but the final score doesn't tell the whole story. From the opening whistle to the final minutes, this team played with grit, determination, and heart, refusing to back down against a tough opponent.

These photos capture the moments between the moments. The hustle, the passion, the resilience, and the commitment to each other that define this team far beyond any result.

Sometimes the most powerful stories are found in how a team responds when things don't go their way.

Today, the work of Cindy Russell Photography was featured on a WGME news story highlighting the incredible impact of Maine Footy and their mission to inspire the next generation of female athletes. The segment showcased Maine’s first pro-am women’s soccer club and the growing opportunities for women in the sport.

As a photographer, there is something special about knowing an image helped tell a story that reaches beyond the field. Every photograph captures more than a game. It captures dedication, teamwork, determination, and the moments that inspire young athletes to dream bigger.

Senior night. Undefeated season. Eleven seniors. One incredibly special team.

These girls don’t just know how to win, they know how to have fun doing it. The energy, chemistry and love for the game was impossible to miss tonight, and it made capturing these moments even more meaningful.

Congratulations to these seniors and this entire program on an unforgettable season so far.

Fast-paced game, strong teamwork, and a big win for Cheverus Girls Lacrosse over Scarborough, 14-6.
