Oregon Handmade Bike Show

The OBCA has put on the OHBS frame show for the past 10 years and we have enjoyed a good run with varying degree of participation from local, nation and international frame builders. 2018 has been the year we have seen the lowest level of interest in the OHBS, the number of builders who have chosen to sign up is so low the OBCA board feels we cannot put on a show we can be proud of, and allow the builders to present well.

It is with a heavy heart we have decided to cancel the show for 2018.

We are doing our best to listen to concerns of vendors from past years, take stock in the successes we have had and pull back to form a plan for the future. Our hope is to re-make the show with an eye toward the future and the goal creating events we can all be proud to take part in. Those who have paid for space at the 2018 OHBS will receive a full refund, we apologize for any hardship this cancellation may cause.

The OBCA will continue to further it’s mandate to promote handmade bicycles and those who build them. I want to personally thank all the folks who have supported the organization and our ventures over the past decade. We stand firm in our commitment to further the craft of handmade bicycle frames. Keep an eye out for future events, and thank you.

Founded nearly 40 years ago by Henry James "Hank" Folson and now operated by our good friend Chris Merrill, OBCA Industry Member supplies investment cast bicycle parts, framebuilding equipment and materials to frame builders in Oregon and around the world from their Portland office.
