A wonderful, sunny☀️ day at Jackson Bottom Wetlands. Our Cub Scouts were treated to a fun and interactive workshop (with Lewis, who is awesome!) to complete their Champions for Nature adventure, followed by a 2-mile hike around the wetlands. We saw a variety of wildlife - snakes, frogs, tadpoles, fish, a beaver, swallows, ducks, geese, hawks, mason bees, and many other insects. It was great to see everyone’s excitement to stop and observe the creatures we encountered. Definitely fun, with a purpose, fulfilled!

These scouts are ready for spring! They built these simple, yet beautiful bird houses using just hammers, nails, and screws. We can’t wait to see little bird families use them to make their cozy nests! 🪺 🐦‍⬛

It was a night of sweet celebration for our Arrow of Light Scouts as they crossed over from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA! We are so proud of these young men and the dedication they demonstrated throughout the years of their Cub Scout journey. We will miss seeing them in our meetings, but know they will be having a great time learning and growing through even bigger adventures as Troop Scouts! Good luck to all of them!
