**Our Application Period will run through October, but candidates with Fire I and II Certifications and an EMS License are strongly encouraged to apply by July 31st for consideration for our 3-week Drill School tentatively scheduled for October. Certified candidates who apply by July 31st may be eligible for an earlier hiring process and onboarding.

The department congratulates Doctor Joe Minichiello on the conclusion of his MaineHealth EMS Fellowship! Earlier this week Dr. Joe completed his fellowship through MaineHealth Maine Medical Center. In addition to many other requirements, Dr. Joe rode with our providers throughout the last twelve months, providing guidance, oversight, training and advanced level care that broadened our prehospital scope of practice.

Dr. Joe will be leaving the fellowship but won't be too far away. He'll be staying at Maine Medical Center and will tentatively remain with department as an associate medical director.
