Pride exists because of people before me fighting the fight to be seen as equals in and by society. Pride for me used to be that I won my personal battle that day to fight another day to see myself as acceptable. I still fight that fight...rarely. Now...because I win that every time...I fight by being who I am. Loving who I love. Being seen. Being heard. All because I know someone out there is where I used to be and I dont want them to lose the battle because they do not see someone who fought the same fight to be happy. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
