2025 was a powerful year of connection, and it’s all thanks to our volunteers 💙

Our community showed up in incredible ways:
🚗 13,342 Door-to-Door trips covering more than 84,000 miles
🚌 41 Ride Ambassador trips supporting 217 riders across 21 transit lines
🤝 10,551 Ride Together trips covering 70,810 miles

That adds up to more than 10,800 volunteer hours spent helping people stay connected to their lives, their health, and their communities!

Together, these efforts also helped offset an estimated 62+ metric tons of carbon emissions 🌱 - the equivalent of taking about 14 cars off the road for a full year 🚙

If you needed a ride on a Wednesday afternoon in King City over the past 25 years, there’s a good chance Ken was behind the wheel. 💛

Since 1999, Ken has been a steady, smiling presence as Ride Connection’s longest-serving volunteer driver. He started after being laid off and even after landing a new job at Intel, he made sure to keep his driving shift.

For Ken, it’s all about people. He knows he might be the only person someone sees all day, and when he arrives, “they're always smiling.” One of his regular riders, Patricia (100 years young!), shares stories of her life and her lunch reviews from the Sherwood Senior Center, turning every trip into something meaningful.

Whether he’s driving a minivan, cruising in his Tesla, or racing his sailboat Aventura, Ken shows what it means to stay connected.
