Laichen Studio

This one is my first rounded square spot but deserves to be shown, even if I won’t make one with the same process again. I typically use a template now unless they are totally free-form. This pot was never destined to be a perfect rectangle because of the way I made it. But it still has some charm.

This wood fired pot is a prototype for a larger pot. I ended up liking it so much I may not be able to let go of it.

Pots are molten in a kiln 2 hours away, I’m trying to keep the momentum at home while also trying to strike a balance. This is a new 2 me red clay that I picked up at Archie Bray last week.
