It is centered on the poetry of Ed Edmo and his experiences in the Shoshone-Bannock nation in Idaho. The work takes its title from waterfalls that existed in the area until the construction of a dam in 1957. The Classical Northwest is a new, community‑centered classical music festival debuting in August 2026 in the Portland area. Founded on the belief that great music thrives through collaboration and shared experience, this series was created by Amir Avsker, All Classical Radio's 2023 Young Artist in Residence.
