Step into the Bloom 🌸
Have you ever stood in the middle of a wildflower field and felt that sudden, overwhelming sense of peace? That "happy-lost" feeling where you aren’t quite sure which trail to take because they all look so beautiful?
My latest 6x6 painting, "Where the Wildflowers Lead," was born from that exact moment. I wanted to capture the movement of a garden path using soft, watercolor-inspired acrylic washes contrasted with bold, reaching linework. It’s a tiny reminder that sometimes the best way forward is simply to follow the flowers.

I could just listen to birds and my dogs all day and look at pretty flowers but adulting calls!

I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of things that have "lived"—rust, weathered wood, and the persistent flow of water.
Copper Tide, acrylic on 4x4 canvas became a tiny battlefield where blue meets bronze, representing the grit and grace we all carry. 💪

A beautiful day we had here yesterday.
We hiked Powell Butte and the views of Mount Saint Helen and Mount Hood were great. ⛰️ 🏔

Resilient, generally less sensitive to the surrounding environment, and able to grow fairly well anywhere. 🙌
