What childhood activity helped you be who you are today?

Long before I was a singer and an actor, I was a dancer.

I'm still an dancer even though my body isn't quite as skilled as it once was.

Once when I had to introduce myself at a 6th grade school function I automatically said "Hi. I'm Deanna and I'm a Dancer" It's in my bones and won't ever leave. It has taught me poise, discipline, teamwork, the importance of setting a goal and working to reach it, and so much more.

Taking a heartfelt moment to share my journey with you all. This season has been a whirlwind of emotions. Amidst the highs and lows, the lessons have truly shone through.

Reflecting on the path I've walked, I’ve had a number of experiences that pushed me to my limits. Some personal. Some professional. There were moments that truly tested my resolve.

One that comes to mind was owning a music school focused on singing when Covid hit. There’s almost nothing worse to spread the disease than to expel lots of air with the force we do when singing. (plus a cough lasts a few seconds. A song lasts for minutes)

But here's the thing – I refuse to let adversity define me.

Within those testing times, I found some incredible silver linings:

🌟 My support network is an unshakable pillar, reminding me that I'm never alone.
🌟 The genuine care and compassion people show reaffirms that even when I stumble, hands are extended to lift me up.
🌟 I am incredibly innovative and creative and will always find a way to solve a problem

This journey reminded me yet again that from challenges springs remarkable growth and wisdom.
